Founded in 2023 by Adam Hutchinson, Recurring Gig Productions is an independent film production company based in Brooklyn, NY.

We tell stories that subvert the social expectations of our time: gender, sexuality, the nature of work, and our relationship with our natural environment. More importantly, we believe that film should be fun and weird and that the world needs a lot more movies. Because stories, like people, don’t exist in isolation; one after another, they show us something new.

The company’s founder Adam Hutchinson is freaked out about climate change, revels in awkward situations, and wants to know why the world exists. He’s the kind of guy that has worked in corporate tech marketing for over a decade, while writing screenplays and stories in his spare time. He calls New York home, even though he lived in Seattle for longer and grew up in Dallas for even longer before that.
